Make the Most of Summer with These Outdoor Activities

Summer is in full swing and now is the time to take advantage of outdoor activities! Ten Trails is conveniently located close to outdoor recreation sites and the community has many outdoor amenities as well as activities planned for the summer months.

Attend One of Ten Trails’ Summer Outdoor Movie Nights 

Ten Trails is hosting movie nights in our Civic Park throughout the months of July, August, and September. We will have food trucks parked at our Civic Park from 5 to 8pm on movie nights for a quick and convenient dinner, and the movie will start to play around dusk. Bring your own blankets and low-back chairs to enjoy the show!

See Live Music Outdoors

The Puget Sound area has many outdoor live music venues including summer outdoor concert series in the cities of Kent, Auburn, and Bellevue. Head to nearby Woodinville to Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery for their ticketed summer concert series events featuring nationally-touring performers. In addition, Ten Trails has live music scheduled throughout the summer during our Sunset Markets and at our Hometown Harvest event September 18th. Get out of the hot kitchen and enjoy your meals outdoors this summer. Whether dining alfresco at a local restaurant, having a picnic at nearby Lake Sawyer or our Civic Park, or grabbing takeout from one of our food trucks that visit the community, eating outdoors is a simple summer pleasure that should not be missed!

It’s time for another Hometown Social at Ten Trails! Meet your friends and neighbors in our Civic Park for an evening of fun, food, and entertainment!

Hometown Social with Sunset Market Friday, July 26

Our Hometown Social on July 26th  features music by the Blue Wave Band, delicious food from local food trucks, a vendor market with more than 30 vendor booths, a beer garden, and bouncy houses.  Join us from 6 to 9 pm in our Civic Park!

Free Food Truck Meal Giveaway 

Prior to our event, tour any of our 12 model homes, register your name and email address, and you will receive a coupon for a free meal valued at up to $12 at one of our Hometown Social food trucks! Stop by our Welcome Center to grab a map to the model homes and learn more about the community from our friendly team.

Attend Events all Summer Long at Ten Trails 

Can’t make it this Friday? Save the date for any of our upcoming summer events like our Sunset Market on August 9th with special performance by country music star, Aaron Crawford! We will have another Hometown Social event on August 23rd, and our Fall Harvest event on September 14th. Hometown Hoedown Brings Live Music to Ten Trails

Ten Trails Live Music Event: Hometown Hoedown August 24th from 6-9 pm

Ten Trails is having another big family-friendly, live music event in our Civic Park and this time we are opening up the new Village Green for a Hometown Hoedown country music event! Bring your cowboy boots and hat for a night of live music by local country music star, Aaron Crawford, along with bouncy houses for the kids, games, food trucks, face-painting, and more than 20 vendors selling local goods and crafts!

Live Music and Fun for the Entire Family

Hometown Hoedown, like the prior two “Hometown Social” events at Ten Trails, are family-friendly! We will have free activities for the kids including games, face-painting and bouncy-houses and our playground and sports courts will be open all evening for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Aaron Crawford Performs Live in the Ten Trails Village Green

Ten Trails is opening its brand new Village Green park for a live performance by Aaron Crawford. Ten Trails is conveniently located in beautiful southeastern King County, nestled among nature and close to regional jobs, hiking trails, recreational lakes, shopping and dining. Ten Trails residents can count themselves lucky to live so close to one of the Puget Sound area’s largest and best farmers’ markets, the Maple Valley Farmer’s Market. Well-known as one of the biggest and best farm markets, the Maple Valley Farmer’s Market is more than just a place for local vendors to showcase their goods. With live music as well as food trucks, the market is the place to be every Saturday this summer!

The Maple Valley Farmers’ Market offers all of the traditional goods one would expect to find at a farmers’ market, plus so much more! Purchase hand-crafted goods from some of the area’s finest craftsmen and women and sample unique homemade pastries and other delicacies. The Puget Sound area is well-known for having some of the most beautiful cut flowers in the country and Ten Trails residents can find brilliant bouquets in an array of colors all summer long at the Maple Valley Farmers Market.

Summertime Fun for the Whole Family 

Nothing beats summer in the Pacific Northwest, and Ten Trails residents can enjoy all the beautiful weather while taking part in fun activities for the whole family at the Maple Valley Farmers Market! More than just a market, it’s a summer season destination for south King County residents! Live music, games and entertainment await every Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm.

Take Part in Nearby Summertime Concerts at Lake Meridian 

Lake Meridian Summer Concert Series 

Ten Trails residents enjoy a prime location, with nature and outdoor activities right outside their doorstep, while still being close to shopping, dining and regional jobs. Lake Meridian, one of the area’s largest recreational lakes, is located just twenty minutes from Ten Trails, and offers a number of fun activities throughout the summer months!

Thursdays in the Park 

Bring a picnic basket and head to Lake Meridian this summer for their annual Summer Concert Series! This year’s entertainment lineup includes music from a wide variety of musicians. While you and your significant other enjoy the music, your kids can have fun splashing in the crystal clear lake water, or playing on the park’s large jungle gym.

Lake Meridian Summer Concert Dates 

The fun begins on July 12th with a live performance by Shaggy Sweet.  Head back to Lake Meridian each Thursday until August 16th for live music from 7 to 8:30 pm.
